"Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake:
for when I am weak, then I am strong."
2 Corinthians 12:10
We are all made beautifully unique and imperfect. Our trials, tribulations, successes, failures, and our shortcomings are all very specific to us individually.
What is the measure of success or failure? What is the measure of shortcomings, infirmities, and even necessities? It depends on what you personally find to be of value.
Think about the guy who was born without legs and only partial arms. I will never forget watching a video of this man speaking to a stadium with thousands of school kids. He wanted to share his message about freeing the mind of fear and self pity.
I was blown away by his grace when he actually thanked the Lord for his condition! Wow! He believes that he was blessed with his infirmities and even believes that being born with deformities gave him amazing opportunities that he would not have had if he were born "normal."
What an amazing perspective: The Lord trusted him to be strong enough to carry the weight of those physical challenges! His mission was made clear and he followed it.
How many of us can say that we look at our imperfections as blessings? How many can say that we have used those blessings to glorify God?
I pray that each person reading this finds their mission, their voice, their passion, their mojo, their "chi" and they understand where it came from. I pray that you will be truly "Well" today and thereafter. - Amen
